Skyfall REVIEW
The "Motion Picture Buff" would like to FINALLY present his review of 007's "Skyfall." First thing though I would like to aplogize for the lateness of this review, in the process of moving, school, and working two jobs. Give me time to get situated and I promise it will all be back to normal. Anyways in this film, Bond's loyalty to M is tested when her murky past comes back to haunt her.
Well well well what can I say about this film that I hated?!?!?!? Um nothing all I have is good things really, and most importantly that this is the Bond film that we deserve after a four-year wait for one. Daniel Craig excels as James Bond again, and seriously in my opinion he is the best Bond there is or ever was. Judi Dench returns as M and again you just love her. Judi and Daniel have just the greatest chemistry and it really starts to show in this film. Then the villain in this film is played by Javier Bardem, and lets just say that he does a superb job. He just plays the creepy and insane character so well. I loved him in this film. Moving onward though . . . I loved, loved, LOVED the screenplay within this film. Just a perfect Bond story after the years of waiting. Why? Well the address the fact that James/ Daniel are both getting a little old. They play with it perfectly. Plus there was also amazing twists within the film that I enjoyed. Never thought it would end the way it did. I do want to mention how they had a bunch of older Bond film references too. I thought it was neat and creative in a way. Director Sam Mendes was at the helm of this film and lets just say, he does a great job with James Bond. The camera angles are just amazing. What I mean by this is that they just capture the feel of the movie great and they capture the amazing scenery that they shot this film in. The action is amazing and extremely engaging, you will never be bored with it I can promise you that.
So all-in-all is this Bond movie the best James Bond film yet? Does it live up to the hype? Yes indeed it does. I can say that for sure this is the best James Bond film I have ever seen. I loved it so much and I really do not have any grips. This film is a little more involved but that is not a negative, actually I would consider that a HUGE positive.
Now for the ratings I am going to give "Skyfall" a must-see film rating because it really is worth it. I want to see it again here soon. Maybe in IMAX? I will also give it a Blu-ray buy worthy rating for it too. I will give it this new rating of BADASS! It literally is just full of awesome action, awesome dialogue. "Skyfall" will also get a popcorn flick rating. As for the rating out of five, "Skyfall" will get a 5/5 rating for sure.
Well thanks for reading this post, and thanks for staying loyal to the blog. I apologize for the lateness of this review. I promise once I get situated in my new house I will be back on track with reviews. Thanks again and stay tuned for more . . . coming soon.

Casino Royale REVIEW
Well the "Motion Picture Buff" would like to present his third review from the "James Bond" franchise, 2006's "Casino Royale." In this film James Bond is on his first mission as a 00. He must stop Le Chiffre, a banker for the world's terrorists organization. He must win a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale in Montenegro.
So shall we start with the positives of this Bon film? Now that I think about it though I don't really think their is a negative to suggest? We will see though. So with the positives I shall start with acting, like I always due. Well Daniel Craig is the new James Bond, and in my opinion the best Bond their is. He just has that quality that makes him this character. He is badass, charming, rough, and all around a great James Bond. Eva Green is the Bond girl in this film and let me say she plays her role . . . well lets say no one else could have played it better. She makes you believe in the things her character has to. Mads Mikkelsen was the villain in this Bond film and let me just say probably one of my favorite Bond villains of all time. He was creepy, scary, and all around emotional when he needed to be. He fit the part and played it perfectly. Of course their were other actor/actresses in this film and everyone did a very good job with creating a great movie. Moving on to the screenplay I am going to have to say that this movie does a great job with restarting the James Bond character, and they help him become a human being again! They make James relatable and realistic in this film, and the plot of this film just connects and makes sense. It for sure keeps you on the edge of your seat, even when the story could get a little boring. Instead they did a good job with the scene and made it enjoyable. Paul Haggis, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade wrote this film and they did a great job with it. Martin Campbell did a GREAT job with the direction of this Bond film. It really took a realistic and darker tone that I enjoyed. The score of course was very good, as most James Bond movies have a good score. The classic Bond theme was in it too; which I always enjoy. As a whole this film does a GREAT job restarting the James Bond franchise, with honor and justice.
So all-in-all after thinking about it their wasn't a negative I could think about. So I this movie is definitlely my favorite James Bond film, and is 100% a must-see film. It doesn't make it to my TOP TEN LIST, because its not a film that I would enjoy more than ones on my list. I will give it the popcorn flick rating, it will be a good film for you and your buddies to enjoy. Go ahead and spend the money to buy it on Blu-ray. You won't regret it. As for the rating out of five, "Casino Royale" is of course going to get the high honor of 5/5 rating.
So thank you for reading and I hope you have enjoyed this review. To see my reviews of other "James Bond" films, click on the name of which one you would like to read: "Dr. No" and "Die Another Day." Thanks again and stay tuned for more . . . coming soon.

Trailer Talk of "Iron Man 3"
Okay so here we GO!!! Marvel's "The Avengers" was released in May, and so of course there is going to be more of Iron Man, Thor, Captian America, and others to set up another "Avengers" film. "Iron Man 3" is the first release since "The Avengers." Now before I get into things from the trailer make sure you watch it above!
So first of all I just yesterday came to the conclusion that Iron Man for sure is my number one favorite superhero. I am sorry Batman but it is the truth. He just is cocky, super smart, and all around badass! Now for "Iron Man 3" I was a little scared because Jon Favreau wasn't at the helm of directing, but after seeing this trailer all of my concerns were thrown out the window! Holy buckets does this movie look like a freaking epic film. I like how they show that Tony Stark is having issues after the events of "The Avengers." It makes the whole story line a lot more realistic. Now for this film it seems like it is going to be a lot darker than the rest. What I mean by this is that it seems to have a tone to it that makes it feel scary and just more real. Now the threat in this film is HUGE! They make it seem like Tony's world is just crumpling around him, and that he is going to have to rely on his best weapon . . . his intellect.
So am I excited for "Iron Man 3?" HELL TO THE YES! Iron Man is the best, and this film already look like a badass movie. My plan is to order IMAX tickets as soon as possible so I make sure I get a seat at midnight! What about you though? What do you think about this trailer? Let me know below and stay tuned for more.

Bridesmaids REVIEW
The "Motion Picture Buff" would like to present a review for the comedic film "Bridesmaids." In this film a competition arises between the maid of honor in a wedding and a bridesmaid to see who is the best friend. During the war the friendship is threatened along with the maid of honor's sanity.
Well lets start with the negatives first shall we? Well the only thing I guess I could say is that there is one part of the movie that is just extremely predictable. You can probably see it coming from a mile away its that obvious.
Other than that we can move onto the positives. Here comes another great movie to add to the list. First thing I guess I am going to say is that this movie is just hilarious. It is just the greatest humor I have seen in a long time . . . and it defiantly is going to hit my list at one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. The script just flows perfectly, has amazing dialogue, and is just the perfect kind of funny but yet heartwarming when it needs to be. It might be extremely raunchy in some spot but it is just great humor. Kristen Wigg and Annie Mumolo wrote the screenplay for this film and they definitely deserved that Oscar nomination. The music used in this song just added more humor to the already humorous scenes. They picked the perfect songs for the scenes. Now I the main thing I really want to touch on here is thought the acting that went along with the screenplay! HOLY SHIT (pardon) these women can act. Kristen Wigg, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, and Rose Bryne all play the "Bridesmaids." They all were perfect for their roles and they all had such incredible chemistry together. For sure one of the funniest groups of cast members I have seen. I am 100% certain that they couldn't find anyone better to play any of those roles. I of course have to touch on Melissa's nomination for an Oscar for her performance in this film. HOLY SHIT (sorry again) you can play one crazy awesome hilarious chick. I loved you in this film Melissa, you were definitely my favorite character. Of course there is still some more amazing cast in this film and they all do a great job at being extremely humorous too. Rebecca Hall, John Hamm, Chris O'Dowd, Matt Lucas, Micheal Hitchcock, Jill Clayburgh, and of course more. Everyone involved in this film made and incredibly hilarious film that cheers me up anytime.
So all-in-all a GREAT comedy film. Good comedic films are hard to come by when it comes to me. I hate over the top and ridiculous funny, but this film made the cut and was terrific. So I am going to give "Bridesmaids" a Blu-ray buy worthy or DVD. This is one of those films you don't need to buy on Blu-ray because it is just not necessary. It is a must-see film . . . if you are over at least 15-16. I will give it a popcorn rating too because it is a great movie to watch with friends some night. As for the rating out of five, "Bridesmaids" will get a glorious 5/5 rating. That freaking funny!
Well thanks for reading and I really hope that you enjoyed this review. I do want to let you know that I am working on something for the blog . . . probably won't be available for awhile yet, but I thought I would let you know in advance in case you see weird things going on here. Well thanks again and stay tuned for more . . . coming soon.

R.I.P. Micheal Clarke Duncan
I am sure you have already heard the sad news about the passing of a great actor, Micheal Clarke Duncan, but I thought in honor I should do a blog post. He passed away Monday after a two month long struggle with a heart attack. "He suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered," said Micheal's personal representative. Micheal Clarke Duncan was 54 years old and engaged to marry Osmarosa Manigault-Stallworth. I am saddened to report this news to you all. It saddens me to report the loss of someone who had so much talent, especially since he was still pretty young and had a lot of life before him yet.
Micheal's motion picture history includes "Planet of the Apes (2001)" as Attar. He was also nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting role for his performance as John Coffey in "The Green Mile." He most recent work was in the TV series "The Finder." His most recent work in the movie industry is in the film "In the Hive" which has been completed and is expected to be released in 2012.
Dwayne Johnson had this to say about Micheal's passing, "I will miss you my brother." Its sad to see that he had to leave this world. All I want to say is thank you Micheal Duncan for your amazing contribution to the motion picture industry. You will be greatly missed, and I send my condolences to his family and close friends. Rest in peace.

The Truman Show REVIEW
The "Motion Picture Buff" would like to present a review for a film starring Jim Carrey, "The Truman Show." In this film an insurance salesman/adjuster discovers his entire life is actually a reality television show.
Well lets begin with the positives for this review even though I really don't have ANYTHING negative to say about this film. Lets start with Peter Weir as director of this film shall we? Oh wow he has also directed "Dead Poets Society," but let me just say that he does an amazing job with this film. What makes it great is that he uses just so many camera angles for this film, that just helps pull you into the emotions of the film. The score for this film done by, Burkhard von Dallwitz, was just absolutely engaging. It helped make scenes more emotional, and I will be making sure to check out that soundtrack as soon as I am done with this review . . . no joke. Lets move onto the story and the plot of this film (which includes the screenplay written by, Andrew Niccol). Let me just say I find the idea of this story extremely intriguing. Just the idea of someones whole life being fake and that everything he grew up around was all just a stage and none of it was real at all. Then there is the way Andrew wrote the film that just makes you want to stay involved in the film, that I just love. At first you aren't sure how or what is happening but in the end they do an amazing job of explaining every single thing that you could have possibly had questions about. The dialogue too just seemed to flow great. Oh such a good movie here that includes amazing acting. I was always surprised to find out that Jim Carrey never got a nomination for his role within this film. I always thought his portrayal as Truman Burbank in this film was 100% Oscar-worthy! Then we have Ed Harris who also does an amazing job as, Christof, the director of "The Truman Show." He just is outstanding in this film, and he deserves his nomination for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" nomination from the Academy. Everyone who is this film I just love. Noah Emmerich as, Marlan, is just GREAT too. This film also includes: Paul Giamatti, Laura Linney, and Holland Taylor (who usually is just SUPER annoying). They all seemed to do a great job with their characters, which helps make a great film that you will enjoy.
The only possible thing I could say bad about this film is that I wanted more out of the ending, which really isn't a negative. It's just I wanted more in the end.
So all-in-all what does this mean since I didn't really have anything negative to bad to say about this film. Well I never thought of this film when creating my TOP TEN LIST, but watching this film tonight has already made me change the list, and it has been addd to NUMBER TEN on the list! So yes "The Truman Show" is a 100% "Must-see film" and I would 100% recommend purchasing this on Blu-Ray! A very good popcorn flick for a movie night one night. So on the scale out of five what is this film going to receive? I am giving "The Truman Show" of course FIVE OUT OF FIVE!
Well thanks again for reading . . . I will make sure to get as many posts up as I can in the coming days. Oh I would also like to mention thanks for all the views . . . I have now done 50 posts in a little over two months, which to me is amazing since I already have over 1200 views, so thanks for everything. If you are new here though I hope you enjoyed this review enough to comeback again for more in the future. Seems like I will be doing more reviews than my other posts though, but I will try to slide other variety of posts in there once and awhile. Make sure you vote in the poll on the sidebar, oh and also make sure you spread the "word" . . . only if you enjoy my posts though. Again thanks for reading and make sure you stay tuned for more . . . coming soon.

NEWS FLASH: Tony Scott dead at 68
UPDATE: It is now reported that Tony Scott was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer just hours before he committed suicide.
Sadly I am here to report that "Top Gun" director, Tony Scott, died in Los Angeles at the age of 68. According to IMDb, the Los Angeles Police Department's harbor division reported that the British-born filmmaker jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge near Long Beach, California. Tony Scott is known for directing such hits as, "Top Gun, Man on Fire, Spy Game, and others."
According to officials, the director climbed a fence on the south part of the bridge and leapt around 12:30 p.m. Police reportedly found a suicide note inside Scott's vehicle. The body was confirmed to Tony Scott's identity around seven o'clock p.m.
Tony Scott had been developing a sequel to his 1986 hit, "Top Gun." When I found out this news I said to myself, "Holy SHIT!" I was watching "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" at the time, and I paused the film to find out what the hell had happened. I am sorry to hear that he had taken his own life. It really does deeply sadden me because he is an inspiration to me just like every other director in the movie industry.
I would have liked to meet him. I am pretty sure any person would have. He made some great movies for all of us viewers to enjoy, that was his gift. He could take a script, and turn it into something everyone would enjoy! That is the gift of movie-making. All I want to say is, "Rest in peace Mr. Tony Scott. I may have never met you, but I will miss you, we all will miss you. You left before your time, but thank you for the time you gave to us. Rest in peace."

The Dark Knight Rises REVIEW
The "Motion Picture Buff' is happy to present a review for the film that we all have been waiting for four years, "The Dark Knight Rises." I have just gotten back from the midnight showing in my home town. Now "The Dark Knight Rises" is about how Batman has been out of the game for eight years, and then a new threat, Bane, shows up and threatens the city of Gotham. Batman is ultimately questioned wether he should return or not and can he?
Well lets just say he does it in a way that is JAW-DROPPING!!!!! Holy freaking shit (excuse my language). If you want a movie to just lose your mind to? Well then look no further. In "The Dark Knight Rises," Christopher Nolan reveals his greatest master piece EVER! This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat from literally the very beginning, all the way until the end credits. We defiantly see a great ending to a wonderful trilogy. Sure there are parts that will piss you off entirely, but in the end you feel like that is the right way of things. A beautifully directed movie Christopher Nolan, props to you. Now the plot of this film took you in places you never thought it would, which was brilliant and what I absolutely love in a GREAT movie. It also keeps some twists in there (about like I said earlier) that keeps you on the edge of your seat, cheering for the good guys, crying, and yelling at what has happened. It is just a beautiful plot and very well written. The acting in this movie was just absolutely spectacular! Christian Bale defiantly outperformed his Batman/Bruce Wayne in this film. Morgan Freeman and Micheal Caine are still absolutely brilliant. Tom Hardy as Bane. Hmmmm how to describe that? Well basically he was MADE to play the character Bane. Oh my god his performance was just incredible. Like they say in that sneak peak, he does things with his eyes that are just amazing. As I have said with Heath Ledger as the Joker in my "The Dark Knight" review, no one could play him better at all. So well done Tom Hardy. Now Joseph Gordon Levitt as John Blake, was just brilliant. Again he did a really good job with his character. It's like Christopher Nolan brings the best out of everyone. Marion Cotillard did a great job as Miranda Tate in this movie as well. The acting in this film was just beautiful, not one person did I hate. Which includes Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle or know as Catwoman. I didn't think I was going to like it at all, but surprisingly I loved it 100%. She just kicked butt. Now how about the score for this film? Well again it was taken over by Hans Zimmer, and let me just say, "GREAT JOB!" I have already bought it, and plan to listen to it as soon as possible. The look and this film was just great, there literally wasn't any major things at all to complain about this movie. This film ended "The Dark Knight Triology" perfectly. You couldn't be any happier with the end of this franchise. It does it loyally and there could be no other way. A plus too is that every single one of these films are freaking amazing. You could say that "Batman Begins" is your favorite and no one would care. Personally thought I am going to have to say that "The Dark Knight Rises" is my favorite. Comment below on what your favorite is (after seeing "The Dark Knight Rises" of course).
Now unfortunately I have one really minor thing to say, which is that sometime you really can't understand Bane's voice. Only thing though.
So now what is this film going to get? Well 100% MUST-SEE FILM! You know what? Just go see the film right now. What are your still doing here reading this? Go see it. Already seen it? Go again its so worth it. So yeah though, its getting a 5/5 rating even though I had that tiny thing. Go see this film right now, you are going to enjoy every aspect of it. It is a film that you will enjoy because it is a near perfect movie (I believe nothing is perfect, only near-perfect).
My all-in-all though, is that it is a great film! Literally raking up there with my favorite films (list actually of those coming soonish). You will enjoy this movie if you like twists in a movie, and a movie that will take you in a direction you never expected. You will be lost for about three hours in a world not of yours. Go enjoy the film, there is really nothing to hate about it. Enjoy!
Heading to the theater? Good! Well thanks for reading. I am not going to add much here now because I know your busy getting ready to see this movie, but just want to say please spread the word about the blog here. It really helps me out, and now make sure you stay tuned for more soon . . .
Stop sitting on your phone, tablet, or computer and get to the theater now, and enjoy "The Dark Knight Rises ;)
